Working Together

Do You Offer an Initial Consultation?

I typically start with a discovery call, which helps me better understand you, your business, and your goals. It also allows me to provide recommendations on what would be the best fit to achieve those goals moving forward.

Then, if needed, we can agree on a consultation call if that would be more valuable than an ongoing package.

How Do You Handle Conflict of Interest With Clients?

Conflicts of interest rarely arise with the work I do, but if I am already working with a client in the same industry and offering the same services as another, I will decline the additional work.

I always value transparency & trust first and won’t work with direct competitors in the same area.

How Do We Communicate During Projects?

Communication is a subject I discuss during a discovery call.

I am always available by email, and it is my preferred channel for communication, as it allows easy archiving and referral to past conversations.

In some cases, I’ll provide clients with direct access to me via WhatsApp.

Generally speaking, I am very communicative, always keeping my clients in the loop and updated on changes, and asking questions to ensure my output is the best it can be.

How Often Will I Receive Updates or Reports?

Update and report frequency is something I discuss with clients.

I err on the side of ‘what is needed’ rather than a strict timeframe, but this also depends on the work being completed and how important regular updates are.

For example, I may provide website updates as and when complete if they can be used for other channels, whereas more technical updates I may include in an end-of-month report.

Ultimately, though, as the client, your input on the frequency and depth of reporting is valued. Frequent, detailed reports work for no one if they’re not checked, and scarce, limited reports aren’t valuable if you need something more.

What Makes a Good Fit for Working Together?

There are many signals I use to determine whether working together would be a good fit, but in my years of experience in this field, the most important is attitude.

  1. Are you coming into the project with an open mind?
  2. Are you accepting of realistic timelines or looking for quick solutions?
  3. Are you interested in learning more about the best path forward or do you just want it done
  4. Are you looking to be involved in the process or do you just want to hand off the channels and be done with it?

While many digital channels can be worked on without assistance, this can greatly diminish the success of a strategy or the implementation of ideas.

I value working with clients who care about their business enough to ask questions, understand the issues, and work collaboratively to scale and optimise.

Do You Complete All of the Work or Do You Outsource?

Yes. I’ll never accept work that I don’t believe I’m not 100% capable of completing myself.

The only exception to this would be if it were agreed on beforehand that specific parts of the project I couldn’t complete would be outsourced – for example, anything graphic design related (I don’t have a design bone in my body).

Services & Scope

Do You Offer One-off Projects or Only Ongoing Work?

I offer both.

Ongoing work is typically better suited to businesses looking for consistent support and scalability.

Sometimes, though, one-off projects, such as an SEO audit, website optimisation sweep, or otherwise, can be as effective if all foundations are in place.

Do You Offer Services Outside of Those Listed on the Website?

Yes, I can also help with Social Media Management, Google and Search Ads, Ghostwriting, Project Management, and Agency work.

These aren’t listed as I prefer to consider these during larger projects.

Do You Offer Bespoke or Custom Packages?

All services I offer are packaged uniquely to your available budget.

I am immediately up-front during discovery calls, saying that, as a business owner, you should understand your available budget, and from there, we can work toward creating a package that serves your best interests.

I can absolutely facilitate a bespoke package you already have in mind, and we can discuss what that looks like in practice, the costs, and the right starting point.

What if I Need Something Additional During a Project?

I like to be clear with clients and explain that I will push back and ask questions when consecutive additions are requested.

‘Scope Creep’ is something I try to avoid, and while I am happy to accommodate smaller changes or quick things, consistent additions can become time-consuming.

In the event this happens, I’ll address the current scope of work and provide an outline of the additional time / budget needed to accommodate further additions. If the additional work is of a larger scope, such as new pages, new posts, or entirely new service additions, we can treat it as a new project or incorporate the cost of completion into the next invoice.

Do You Offer a Guarantee?

I do not offer guarantees on specific results such as rankings or traffic.

Search performance has a multitude of variables and is influenced by factors ultimately outside of my control, including competition, algorithm updates, existing site history, and more.

I do, however, guarantee that the work I complete is structured and strategic, based on proven SEO and content principles.

You’ll always have my full transparency on what is being done, why, and how performance is progressing. I’m always open to questions and providing you with insight into what moves the needle.

You won’t ever catch me promising rank 1 positions, though.

Do You Offer Reduced Rates for Longer-Term Work?

In some cases, yes.

Longer-term projects allow for more consistent planning, deeper integration, and a more efficient way of working over time. Some services, such as SEO, benefit greatly from this longer time frame as it allows for deeper data collection and more informed optimisations.

I may then offer more favourable pricing for this level of ongoing work compared to short-term or one-off projects.

That said, I always base pricing on the scope, level of involvement, and the impact of the work, rather than just the length of the engagement.

Location & Availability

Do You Limit the Number of Clients You Work With?

Yes, I work with a small number of ongoing clients at any one time.

This is intentional as it allows me to stay closely involved in each project and maintain a high standard of work. Clients receive focused, strategic support rather than a diluted “it’s done” service.

Alongside my ongoing clients, I take on a limited number of one-off or shorter-term projects.

Do You Work With Businesses Across the UK?

Yes, I work with all types of businesses across the UK.

As services are delivered remotely, I can support your business whether you’re local to me, regional, or operating nationally.

Do You Work With Businesses Outside the UK?

Yes, and I have done so in the past.

Whether we’ll be a good fit for one another depends strongly on your industry and services.

If there is a relation to or knowledge required of local laws, for example, I may suggest finding a nearby specialist instead.

Do You Offer In-Person or Remote Services?

All services are delivered remotely, which allows for a more efficient and flexible way of working. It also makes the most sense, as they’re digital services.

That said, where appropriate, I’m pen to in-person meeting if you’re based nearby, but most collaboration and delivery is handled remotely.

What Time Zone and Working Hours Do You Operate In?

I am based in the UK and operate on UK time.

I aim to be available and responsive during standard business hours for communication, calls, and ongoing collaboration. Outside of this, much of the work itself is completed flexibly to ensure deadlines are met and projects continue to move forward efficiently.

What Is Your Availability for Taking on New Clients?

My availability can vary. It’s always best to get in touch via my contact form to discuss my current capacity and your requirements.

Depending on what you’re looking for, I might be able to give a timeframe for when I can take on the project (if I am at capacity when we first speak).
